Sl: Pomlad je prinesla sončne dneve in vonj cvetočih dreves, kar je oznanjalo konec šolskega leta na srednji šoli v Ljubljani.
En: Spring brought sunny days and the scent of blooming trees, heralding the end of the school year at a high school in Ljubljana.

Sl: Učenci so bili polni energije in živahnosti, saj se je bližala šolska prireditev talentov.
En: The students were full of energy and liveliness, as the school talent show was approaching.

Sl: Matej in Sabina sta hodila po dolgem hodniku šole, njuni koraki so odmevali po praznih tleh.
En: Matej and Sabina walked down the long hallway of the school, their steps echoing off the empty floors.

Sl: Matej je bil tiho, njegova glava polna misli o bližajočem se nastopu.
En: Matej was quiet, his head full of thoughts about the upcoming performance.

Sl: Bil je nadarjen pianist, a ga je vedno oviral strah pred nastopanjem.

Sl: Sabina, njegova najboljša prijateljica, je bila ravno nasprotje.

Sl: Njeni plesni gibi so bili lahkotni in navdušujoči.

Sl: "Moraš se prijaviti, Matej," je rekla Sabina z navdušenim glasom.

Sl: "To je tvoja priložnost."

Sl: Matej je z vzdihom odgovoril: "Ne vem, Sabina.
En: Matej sighed in response, "I don't know, Sabina.

Sl: Saj veš, da me nastopi spravljajo v zadrego."
En: You know that performances make me nervous."

Sl: Sabina ga je pogledala z odločnostjo.
En: Sabina looked at him with determination.

Sl: "Če želiš, bom nastopila s tabo.
En: "If you want, I'll perform with you.

Sl: Lahko naredimo duet.
En: We can make it a duet.

Sl: Ti boš igral klavir, jaz bom plesala.
En: You'll play the piano, and I'll dance.

Sl: Skupaj bova."
En: We'll be together."

Sl: Matej je za trenutek pomislil.
En: Matej thought for a moment.

Sl: Ideja o deljenju odra z Sabino ga je nekoliko pomirila.
En: The idea of sharing the stage with Sabina calmed him a little.

Sl: Nenazadnje, njen smeh in energija sta bila nalezljiva.

Sl: S pristankom je čutil majhno žarečo iskro poguma.

Sl: Tako sta skupaj stopila z odra, Matej zdaj z novo pridobljeno samozavestjo.

Sl: Ugotovil je, da nastopi niso strašljivi, ko jih deliš s prijatelji.
