Sl: Vid je stal na lesenem pomolu, ki se je raztezal nad mirnim jezerom.
En: Vid stood on a wooden pier stretching over a calm lake.
Sl: Naokoli so se dvigali mogočni slovenski Alpe, oviti v pomladne dišave cvetočih divjih cvetlic.
En: Around him rose the mighty Slovenian Alpe, wrapped in the spring fragrances of blooming wildflowers.
Sl: Bila je sredina popoldneva, ko so pozdravni zvoki ptic prepletali tišino.
En: It was the middle of the afternoon when the greeting sounds of birds intertwined with the silence.
Sl: Retreat je bil znan kot mesto notranjega miru.
En: The retreat was known as a place of inner peace.
Sl: A ta mir je bil porušen, ko je izginilo dragoceno umetniško delo, ki je viselo v glavni dvorani.
En: But this peace was disrupted when a precious piece of art, which hung in the main hall, disappeared.

Sl: "Ne vem," je odgovoril Vid, pazljivo gledajoč njene zelene oči, ki so bile podobne gozdu okoli njiju.
En: "I don't know," answered Vid, carefully looking into her green eyes, which were akin to the forest around them.
Sl: "Ampak nekaj mi ne da mira. Prav?" je nadaljeval, čeprav si ni upal spustiti svojih sumničavih misli.
En: "But something doesn't sit well with me. Right?" he continued, though he didn't dare let go of his suspicious thoughts.

Sl: Škripanje talnih desk v dvorani, kjer ni bilo nikogar.
En: The creaking of floorboards in the hall where no one was supposed to be.
Sl: Počasi se približa.
En: Slowly, he approached.
Sl: Tam, za vogalom, vidi Sabino.
En: There, around the corner, he saw Sabina.
Sl: Prej ne tako pogumna, a zdaj z izrazom ponosne odkritosti.
En: Previously not so brave, but now with a look of proud revelation.
Sl: Držala je v roki skrivnostno umetnino.
En: She held the mysterious artwork in her hand.
Sl: "Sabina?" je kriknil presenečeno.
En: "Sabina?" he exclaimed in surprise.

Sl: S Sabino in njeno novo zavezo sta se vrnila v začetek - k tistemu, kar je retreat naj bi pomenil.
En: With Sabina and her new resolve, they returned to the beginning - to what the retreat was supposed to mean.

Sl: Razkrila sta resnico vodji, kar je prineslo novo razpravo o pomembnosti ohranjanja harmonije ne le znotraj zavodov, ampak tudi z naravo, ki je bila za Slovenske Alpe srce in duša.
