Episode One, "Steelwork Shenanigans," is about problems with trust and authority in the steelwork industry. Laila, Shrutika, and Marciara use artifacts in GSU's Southern Labor Archives to talk about the Taft-Hartley Act, what that meant for workers, and times when it wasn’t followed or being respected. This episode also acknowledges the work of Paul L Styles, one of the pioneers of the industry, and goes into how he became a spokesperson for steelworkers advocating for themselves.
