Susanna was accused falsely and unjustly condemned to death. The accusers were supposedly wise men. They were elders of the people. Their word was assumed true when they accused of Susanna of adultery. However, God came to the rescue by having Daniel investigate more deeply the accusers. He had them separated, and he got their testimonies of the supposed crime. They gave different claims of the circumstances of the crime. Their lie was exposed, and Susanna was saved from capital punishment. The accusers were punished by death since that was what they wanted to befall the hapless woman according to the Law of Moses. God saved Susanna from injustice. But Jesus was not saved from the unjust condemnation He was given. He died but He died with a lot of good coming out of it. We were saved!
