The first reading teaches us the beginning of Joseph's story from the Old Testament, a type of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. The lesson is that from the depravity of man, God can produce good. He is so powerful that He does this par for the course. He does not thwart the evil deeds of free creatures, but He surely can make good come out of them. Truly awesome!
