Jesus expounds on the practice of helping the others who may be wrong in something important. We all experience this because we cannot possibly see ourselves in the mirror all the time. We need someone else to have an objective look at ourselves so that what we miss detecting as mistaken could be addressed. Of course, we need to have this disposition of letting the person concerned know of such mistakes or wrongdoing. Thus, we have the evangelical teaching of making fraternal corrections. Our tendency is to leave the others with their mistakes and come up with excuses from telling them. Usually, we gossip about them, or we mind our own business. Nowhere in the Gospel is the insistence about minding our own business. On the contrary, it is actually the opposite that Our Lord underscores, i.e., to be concerned and help the others.
