Inbound marketing is one of the most powerful means of scaling a freelance business (of any kind). It allows one to develop an ongoing 'drip' of inbound leads. Unlike outbound marketing, it tends to accrue in value over time. It's perfect for tiny business units like solo freelancers who don't have the resources to talk to lots of potential leads only to convert a minority into customers. I've started getting results from inbound in the last year - and wish I had started 5 years previously!
