Description

God’s people faced mountains time and again. In this episode Steve and Diana discuss how this week’s readings reveal a common theme of God bringing His people to mountains for their own growth in faith and relationship with Him.  A mountain represents anything we cannot physically displace or move. Facing mountains evokes fear, which can lead us to control. Control is fear expressing itself. When you find yourself stuck, turn back to The Voice. That (His) voice is life. We often stop listening because we want our own way and when that leads us astray, we don’t want to hear, “I told you so.” Letting God convict us keeps our hearts pliable and ready to receive the newness of life. When you get weary in well-doing, return. That’s where you will find the source of life again.

Scripture Readings: Tier One – NT:  Mark 10-16, I Corinthians 9-16 Tier Two – OT:  Deuteronomy 26-33, Psalms 93-98, Ezekiel 7-12
