"Epiphany" is a word of ancient origins that surprisingly continues in the American English to mean something very close to the original intent. It is a surprised, joyous, and spontanious realization of something momentous, that comes upon a person that has just put the pieces together in their own understanding to reveal TRUTH.
In this case, it is the "AHA!" moment that is Christ Messiah!
