She blazed a trail any woman and especially young black women should be proud to follow. it should be noted she didn't do it for the money if you note the roles she played in movies. She never played a role that degraded or made you question her character. Also a look at Former Wichita North High and Kansas State player Don Calhoun who passed away on December 14, 2020 who went on to have a9 year career in the NFL and also played for the New Jersey Generals of the defunct USFL. Then I close out with a look at the passing of John Chaney and what he meant to not just college basketball but on the lives of young black men. Don was known for 2 things no, make that 3. That relentless match up zone defense, get your but to class, and the 1994 infamous "I'll kill you" and I'm gonna kick your ass" during an after game press conference aimed at John Calipari then of UMass.
