James became an MAF pilot, following in the footsteps of RAF veterans who launched the charity after World War II. As a child, he lived in Kenya with his missionary parents. It was here that his love for missions took root. A lover of planes, James set out to gain his private pilot’s licence in his teens. In MAF he fulfilled his dreams to be a pilot and a missionary."
