Final Fantasy 16 is an action role-playing game released in 2023 by Square Enix. The sixteenth main Final Fantasy game is scheduled to release for the PlayStation 5 in June 2023 and Windows in September 2024. The game features segmented open environments and an action-based combat system with attacks based on magic and melee. The ability to move around with Chocobos and the summoning of Eikon monsters—monsters used in battle and battle bosses—are recurring series features.
