Pb: Thiago sempre falou que a floresta era sua segunda casa.
En: Thiago always said that the forest was his second home.

Pb: E na Páscoa, decidiu mostrar suas "habilidades" para Lúcia.
En: And during Easter, he decided to show off his "skills" to Lúcia.

Pb: Eles entraram na Floresta da Tijuca com cestas, prontos para encontrar ovos de chocolate escondidos.
En: They entered the Floresta da Tijuca with baskets, ready to find hidden chocolate eggs.

Pb: As folhas secas de outono estalavam sob seus pés.
En: The dry autumn leaves crackled under their feet.

Pb: "Vamos por aqui, Lúcia! Eu sinto que há ovos do outro lado," disse Thiago, apontando com confiança para uma trilha sinuosa.
En: "Let's go this way, Lúcia! I feel like there are eggs on the other side," said Thiago, confidently pointing to a winding trail.

Pb: Lúcia hesitou.
En: Lúcia hesitated.

Pb: "Minha intuição diz para usar o GPS no meu celular," ela replicou.
En: "My intuition says to use the GPS on my phone," she replied.

Pb: Mas, claro, não havia sinal.
En: But, of course, there was no signal.

Pb: "As árvores são nosso guia!" exclamou Thiago, com entusiasmo.
En: "The trees are our guide!" exclaimed Thiago, enthusiastically.

Pb: Eles caminharam, animados com a aventura.
En: They walked, excited about the adventure.

Pb: Mas, em pouco tempo, perceberam que o ambiente ao redor estava mais denso e desconhecido.
En: But soon, they realized that the surroundings were becoming denser and unfamiliar.

Pb: Lúcia parou, preocupada.
En: Lúcia stopped, worried.

Pb: "Thiago, temos que voltar. Não reconheço esse lugar."
En: "Thiago, we need to go back. I don't recognize this place."

Pb: Thiago, determinado a impressionar, sorriu.
En: Thiago, determined to impress, smiled.

Pb: "Confie em mim, Lúcia. É assim que as melhores aventuras começam!"
En: "Trust me, Lúcia. This is how the best adventures begin!"

Pb: E assim, seguiram.
En: And so, they continued.

Pb: O tempo passou, e a diversão virou frustração.
En: Time passed, and the fun turned into frustration.

Pb: Cada árvore parecia igual, e a trilha ficava cada vez mais confusa.
En: Every tree seemed the same, and the trail became increasingly confusing.

Pb: Mas Thiago não desistiu.
En: But Thiago did not give up.

Pb: Finalmente, algo brilhou entre os arbustos.
En: Finally, something shiny appeared among the bushes.

Pb: "Olhe, Lúcia! Encontramos!" Thiago correu até uma pilha de ovos enormes e coloridos.
En: "Look, Lúcia! We found it!" Thiago ran to a pile of enormous, colorful eggs.

Pb: Lúcia ficou ao lado, desconfiada.
En: Lúcia stood beside him, suspicious.

Pb: Ao tentar pegar um, percebeu que era um ovo de chocolate maciço, mas estranho.
En: When she tried to pick one up, she noticed it was a massive chocolate egg, but it seemed strange.

Pb: "Thiago... Isso é para... animais?" Lúcia riu, sem acreditar.
En: "Thiago... Is this for... animals?" Lúcia laughed, incredulous.

Pb: "São iscas! Para os macacos ou algo assim."
En: "They're baits! For the monkeys or something like that."

Pb: Desapontados, mas aliviados por ver a situação pelo lado cômico, os dois decidiram voltar.
En: Disappointed, but relieved to see the humor in the situation, the two decided to head back.

Pb: Sem nenhum ovo para comemorar, mas um aprendizado valioso no bolso.
En: Without any eggs to celebrate, but with a valuable lesson learned.

Pb: "O que fazemos agora?" perguntou Lúcia.
En: "What do we do now?" asked Lúcia.

Pb: Thiago olhou ao redor e viu algo brilhante no chão.
En: Thiago looked around and saw something shiny on the ground.

Pb: "Siga as embalagens de doces," disse ele.
En: "Follow the candy wrappers," he said.

Pb: Sem querer, tinham deixado para trás um rastro de embalagens de balas.
En: Unintentionally, they had left a trail of candy wrappers behind.

Pb: Rindo e comendo o restante dos doces, seguiram o caminho que os trouxe de volta.
En: Laughing and eating the remaining sweets, they followed the path that led them back.

Pb: Thiago suspirou, envergonhado, mas sorrindo.
En: Thiago sighed, embarrassed but smiling.

Pb: "Acho que sou mais de teoria do que de prática, Lúcia."
En: "I guess I'm more into theory than practice, Lúcia."

Pb: Ela sorriu.
En: She smiled.

Pb: "E eu aprendi que um pouco de instinto ajuda."
En: "And I learned that a little instinct helps."

Pb: E assim, com o sol se pondo suavemente sobre a floresta, Thiago e Lúcia saíram, não com ovos, mas com uma história que riria contada muitas vezes durante as próximas Páscoas.
En: And so, with the sun setting gently over the forest, Thiago and Lúcia left, not with eggs, but with a story that would be told many times over the upcoming Easters.
