Topic: A NEW KIND OF GOVERNANCE: ASTONISHING WONDERS (Part 2)!
Memory Verse: "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel" - Isaiah 7:14 KJV
Bible Text: Isaiah 9:6 KJV
6. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
INSPIRATION: Yesterday, we noted that the government upon Christ's shoulders speak to His Lordship, and the responsibility and power that follows Him as against the irresponsible leadership the world portrays today. It takes One that has genuine authority and power to be Wonderful. To be termed wonderful, it has to be extraordinarily good or great, implying excellence, amazement, astonishment, incredibility, marvelousness, etc.
Anyone who encounter Christ, undoubtedly encounters His surpassing wonders that are without numbers (Job 9: 10). That's governance at a whole new level. I may not know how your year has been or what you went through to come into these last few days, but I'm sent to announce to you that you're about to see the wonders of God. God will perform miracles and display His power in your life (Ps. 77: 14).
The heavens will keep telling the wonders of God, and the skies will keep declaring what he has done in your life. Each day informs the following day; each night announces to the next. They don't speak a word, and there is never the sound of a voice. Yet their message reaches all the earth, and it travels around the world" (Ps 19:1-4). God is about to showcase His wonders through you. Hallelujah to His name!
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
God is never weary of doing wonders in the midst of His people because there's nothing too hard for Him to do. Watch out!
PRAYER: Dear Lord, please uphold the integrity of Your word and perform your surpassing wonders in my life this season, in Jesus name.
