Topic: BE THAT MAN!

Memory Verse: “And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go" - 1 Samuel 9:6 KJV

Bible Text: 2 Kings 5:3 KJV

3. And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.

INSPIRATION: In every generation, space or place, there's a man in need and a man to meet that answers to your need. Whilst many would be cool to have their needs met, I'd rather be the solution provider! There's a sad paucity of people with the right answers tailored to our needs but you too can stand out as one. In two different scenerios and contexts in our bible texts, need arose. But they were both pointed to a man! Be that man in your space!!

We cannot overemphasize or maliciously undermine the gifts of men in our lives; men vested with wisdom, insights and the requisite repository of knowledgeable skills to get a task done, unknot a problem and offer solutions. In any field of human endeavour, these men are needed. Be it a handy man, a tech expert, an engineer, a counselor, a guide or an administrator, etc. The failure of someone in need to desire help from these class of people would only make their situation worse and prolonged.

Where do you fit in this divide? Don't be so comfortable with always being the one with a need. Strive to be that man that others can refer challenges to. Build your capacity to a distinguishing height where people can consult you for complex issues and they won't be disappointed. Fame and good money are hidden in problems. Work yourself into visibility and prominence. Sit in the consciousness of people who won't hesitate to make referrals because they trust in your capability to deliver results!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

You're someone else's solution, don't reduce yourself to their problem. You're their lifeline. Allow them take a chance on you lest they drown. Be a proactive answer!

PRAYER: O Lord, help me to see myself as the bridge that connects people to their destiny. Equip me to dispense this role in ways that enrich the lives of others. May my light shine through to brighten a dark and gloomy life until they can hold their own again. Give me grace to see myself in the light of all You created me to be and do to help humanity, in Jesus name, Amen!
