Topic: BLEEDING WOUNDS BECOME VICTORY SCARS (Part 2)!

Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing" - John 20:27 KJV

Bible Text: Mark 5:25-26, 29 KJV

‭‭‭‭‭25. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, [26] and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered,...[29] And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;

INSPIRATION: Sometimes, there're people who feel uncomfortable around you when you bleed, and yet others who feel greatly disgusted about your scars. Whether you bleed or have scars, the natural disposition should be empathy and not apathy or a high sense of contempt towards hurting people. But when Thomas and key actors around this woman refused to show empathy, both Jesus and the woman held on to their respective stories and showed their victory. Hallelujah!

First, Jesus says to Thomas, come and see and feel it. By that, He was saying, I'm no longer where I used to be, neither am I where you left me at. It's interesting how people expect to still meet you where they left you in pain, broken and rejected. No! Your path is a shining light (Prov. 4: 18). You're progressive and dynamic, evolving through the roughest or darkest patch life deals you. Jesus went through his ordeal but came up with his victory scars that silenced the doubting Thomas! His scars had an incontrovertible story to tell.

Then, comes the woman, who against all odds, got her healing. We must never allow stereotypes and stigmatisation ruin our quest for wholeness. While at it, own your processes and celebrate your milestones! Seize the most of your opportunities but don't let nothing hold you back! Wholeness comes with a level of confidence and clear perspective. Watch how she comes forward to Jesus and tells her story with confident clarity, without allowing religious rules cloud her reality. Her evidence was enough to disarm anything to dull her story.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Never ever apologise to anyone about your healing or allow anyone undermine your recovery process. Wear your scars with dignity because no one knows what you've survived.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I receive my healing and total recovery from everything that has caused me pain and made me bleed in the past. I'm in my new season, old things are passed away and so is every of my pain. I own my scars with pride and love my journey, in Jesus name, Amen.
