I want to draw my opening from Gideon's response to the angel that called him a man of valour. “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our fathers told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ (Judg. 6:13 ). We must begin to ask the right questions like Gideon, if we want to experience the activation of the wonders of God that can only be attributed to His greatness. You should not have God as the greatest and live in abject poverty; you shouldn't be so constantly plagued by sickness when He's the greatness physician.

It's an aberration to have the almighty God and be constantly plaqued by fear; He can't be your bridge over waters and you're left stranded all the time; he can't control the hearts of kings and you lack the gift and help of men. God can't be all-powerful and you're all-powerless in the face of attacks. Something isn't adding up! A conscious self-affirmation that you belong to this God that's so mighty and powerful should spark off an unwavering confidence in you that can weather any storm. Knowing you're not disadvantaged with God on your side should not only be a morale booster but also a deciding and winning factor for you!
