Topic: FAITH, GLORY AND DIVINE ASSIGNMENT!

Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭John 2:9‭-‬10 NKJV

9. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.
10. And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”

INSPIRATION: Jesus makes two very profound statements in the book of John whereon we shall base our discussion today. Firstly, Jesus said to Martha, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:40). There's no glory outside our realm of believe. Whatever you cannot believe of God, you cannot see the manifestation. In this sense, your glory is connected to your faith. What is that which seems so big and impossible for you and for which the experts have said it can never happen? Dare to believe. For to him that believes, all things are possible (Mark 9:23).

Secondly, Jesus makes a prayer, followed by a voice response from heaven, "Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again" (John 12:27‭-‬28). When we do the Lord's work in the manner in which we're sent, there's glory that follows us. This is crucial as it opens you to the reality that you do not serve God in vain when you serve sincerely from your heart. Jesus focused on the business God sent Him to do on earth, ensuring that the purpose for which he came to earth is fulfilled.

When you value your assignment, virtue and glory will flow towards and upon you. At another place, Jesus prayed, "Glorify me with the glory I've glorified you with." What he meant was, I've done all you asked of me, now release your glory on me. Can I submit therefore that if you want to see and manifest glory, go about your Master's business with an unwavering commitment. He has not called the sons of Jacob to seek Him in vain (Isa. 45:19). Run your race, finish your assignment and wear your crown of glory also in the life after (2 Tim. 4:7-8).

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Keep faith alive in the midst of very negative happenings. Look beyond your storm. Hold on to your beliefs and confession. The storm would pass. See your story turn; See your new and sweeter wine; See greater glory revealed. See!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please cause me to experience glory and beautiful endings henceforth. May the glory of my latter experiences be greater than anything I've ever been through, in Jesus name.
