Description

There comes no better time than now for believers to look up to God. Things are moving in a fast pace for the worse, it seems, appearing like the noose is tightening harder to sniff life out of us. From political unrest, to economic downturn, and no immediate solution to these problems seem to be on the horizon. Rather, each seem to be spiralling into another and creating multiple ripple effect.

We live in a despair-filled world. Hence, the Psalmist says, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills [around Jerusalem, to sacred Mount Zion and Mount Moriah]–From whence shall my help come? (Psa 121:1). Fix your gaze upon him, join your life with his, and joy will come. Your faces will glisten with glory. You’ll never wear that shame-face again.

Whilst this looks too religious a solution, your gaze shouldn't be an involuntary act. Be intentional about it, resting your faith and confidence in God's ability to sustain you and take shame away. The Psalmist says, "I WILL lift up my eye...," involve your will in the act of looking up to God; that's the surest way to permanently eliminate shame and have your face shine with radiance. Hallelujah!
