Topic: GLORY-TRIGGERED RESPONSES!
Memory Verse: "And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word..." Luke 1:38 KJV
Bible Text: Ezekiel 11:5 KJV
5. And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the LORD; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them.
INSPIRATION: It's an established fact that our responses to God's word becomes the catalyst that triggers our manifestation of glory. Jesus told Martha, "Did I not say if you believe that you'd see the glory of God?" Belief is a form of response, the same way unbelief is another form of response. Interestingly, you cannot believe and disbelieve at the same time. When the word of God came to Mary, she said, "Be it unto me according to your word."
In other words, Mary aligned herself with the Word, stood on the side of the Word and allowed the word to dictate and define her circumstances. At the end, the glorious Wonder, called Jesus, was born through that singular action of hers. Have you ever stopped to imagine all you could amount to when you believe the Word of God? Daily, God's words come to us just like it came to Mary. No single day passes without you hearing a "thus saith the Lord!"
What you do with what is said to you determines your outcome. "These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age" (1 Cor 10:11 NLT). How have we allowed the responses of people in the bible colour our own response-action? When you act in unbelief, it is rebellion and rebellion in the sight of God is witchcraft (1 Sam. 15: 23). God demands total submission to His word but He won't enforce it. But should you want to see His glory, just obey and act on the Word!
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
Evaluate your level of obedience to God's word. Deal with every root of disobedience and rebellion springing up inside you against God's word, especially, your rational thinking. Emulate Mary's response to every word of God that is released in your direction so you can trigger his glory.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to always have a faith-based response and absolute submission to your word. I lose the desire to rebel and disobey Your word; I manifest glory daily as I act in obedience to divine instructions, in Jesus name.
