Description

It's amazing, somewhat ingenious to peculiarise our pains and not the graces that we enjoy. So when it goes right well, we ascribe glory to ourselves for our masterstroke efforts but blame our failings on others. I quite understand the sentiments. But even the peculiarities of our pains are not strange to God who sees and knows up to the smallest details as a strand of hair on our heads.

Your history may be hidden from others, including your loved ones and significant other, but they're never hidden from God! Whilst each sad event in your history may leave you with more questions and scars than answers, God can still use our biggest or deepest scars to spotlight our brightest stars. He's in the details not to disfigure you but to configure and conscript you into a masterpiece with shiny armour.

Sometimes, the pressures and failures we experience exert on us so deeply to pull out our best treasures. It's like subjecting fruits or nuts to heated pressure to extract refined wine or oils from them. Whilst the process may be excruciatingly unbearable, the finished product holds and is worth more value than the raw, unprocessed nut. You need to develop resilience and dogged patience when you're in your process of transformation to God's design.

Joseph went through the processes of hatred, betrayal, slavery, accusation, denial, imprisonment to evolve the Prime Minister; David suffered rejection, fights with a lion and a bear, then Goliath, to emerge as king. In both cases, God was in the details unbeknownst to them that the processes were meant to birth God's plan. Processes may disqualify us in our eyes and by the estimation of others, but God is still in the details to get the glory out of processing our messes. Don't lose sight of this.
