Description

Sometimes, what we call a storm by our assessment or estimation, is not really a storm or wilderness as we call them but a process; a passage way to our next great level. In such instances, we do not require God to make a way of escape from it but through it. God will walk you through it to prune, refine or toughen you for what lies ahead. Because it's a process, God would be more mindful of it's overall aim than in your prayer or desire to escape it.

Processes make us. There're some places and positions you're suited for but haven't stepped into yet because they require us to be processed first. It may take you through an unfamiliar or unpleasant route that may include delays, rejections, sufferings, pain, being misunderstood and being deprived of some of life's essentials, but in the end, it'd ultimately work together for your good (Rom. 8: 28). With that good in mind, God doesn't see those hurdles you go through as worth escaping from. It's the reason some of our prayers are not answered.

Therefore, when next you find yourself in a dark place, try to discern the will of God in it. It may not be a punishment but a gym, a school, that trains and builds you up to withstand pressure and uncertainties in the future. This could also be why He screens and filters the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. God is very intentional, and His sovereignty cannot be questioned. Instead, just learn to lean on Him and trust Him.
