Topic: I'M NO LONGER BLEEDING!
Memory Verse: "Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing" - John 20:27 KJV
Bible Text: Mark 5:25-26, 29 KJV
25. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, [26] and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered,...[29] And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;
INSPIRATION: Sometimes, when someone is hurting, they bleed. Some bleeding may be external while others could be internal. The external may be easily noticed and stopped but not so with internal wounds. Thus, many victims of internal bleeding have bled to their untimely and avoidable deaths. A lot of people have come through very devastating experiences that have left them bleeding for years without end. Like the woman with the Issue of blood, nothing they did ever changed or helped their situation get better.
At other times, people get more concerned about your bleeding than they do care about your healing. In that imbalance of affection, they leave you in a state of secondary wounding by always reminding you of your wounds and gossipping about it to others but never showing up for you. That was the state the woman with the Issue of blood found herself, and that was where Thomas expected to find Jesus in. But like Paul echoes, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corin 5:17).
You're no longer bleeding! That ended with last year. You can't be hurting no more, all that is in the past now with the last sad experience. Thomas came to see the fresh wounds, but Jesus showed him his scars. Your scars are your victory badge; a great testament to what you overcame, all you came through. Jesus's scars silenced Thomas same way the dried fountain of blood silenced the religious traditionalists in that woman's story. You're in your new season where you're no longer bleeding. Therefore, show the world yours scars with absolute, indefatigable pride. You've won!!
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
Never ever apologise to anyone about your healing or allow anyone undermine your recovery process. Wear your scars with dignity because no one knows what you've survived.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, I receive my healing and total recovery from everything that has caused me pain and made me bleed in the past. I'm in my new season, old things are passed away and so is every of my pain. I own my scars with pride and love my journey, in Jesus name, Amen.
