Topic: I'M NO LONGER BLEEDING (Part 3)!

Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing" - John 20:27 KJV

Bible Text: Mark 5:25-26, 29 KJV

‭‭‭‭‭25. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, [26] and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered,...[29] And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;

INSPIRATION: Whenever anyone comes to terms with their scars, they strip synics off the power to stigmatise them. Therefore, own your scars with pride for it tells a powerful story of your resilience. To the person out there who may not know your struggles and what you overcame, a scar may seem to disfigure you, but their interpretation is flawed and skewed in the light of your own reality. Your truth supercedes their faulty perception, and that should count for a big prize to hold on to and celebrate.

Not too many genuine survivors of truama have had the privilege to own or tell their story in a celebratory way because of societal inhibitions. Sadly, while you bled, not so many gave you a chance or hope that you'd survive it. So what do you care now that your bleeding is over? The story about the woman with the issue of blood shows she was focused more on the outcome of her healing than she was about what people thought. She showed her scars and told her story defiantly. Do you have a story of what you survived? Tell it!

Jesus wasn't just having it with Thomas. He did not only show His scars, but asked him to touch and feel it. He had completely healed so no amount of touch could reopen the wounds. You don't have to fake your healing. Neither should you let people gaslight you. Don't let anyone put any disingenuous disclaimer to your story or disparage you for your scars. Your scars are the stars that populate your crown as an overcoming warrior. Had Jesus's scars disappeared, no one would have believed He resurrected. Scars give credence to our stories. Wear yours proudly.

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Never ever apologise to anyone about your healing or allow anyone undermine your recovery process. Wear your scars with dignity because no one knows what you've survived.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I receive my healing and total recovery from everything that has caused me pain and made me bleed in the past. I'm in my new season, old things are passed away and so is every of my pain. I own my scars with pride and love my journey, in Jesus name, Amen.
