When we talk about overflow of abundance, we must not lose sight of God's excess love towards us in the first instance. After the fall of man, nothing could have drawn us back into a relationship with God but for His abundant love lavished expressly on us in a lascivious way.
Paul reckons, "Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom. 5:7-8 NIV). God demonstrates His love in excess by giving His Son in our stead.
As if the gift of His Son in exchange for our guilt wasn't enough, Paul argues further, "He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things? (Rom 8: 32). Thus, the guarantee that anything can be yours in Christ holds true.
God will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly (Ps. 84: 11). If you're still in doubt, Jesus dismisses your doubts and said, "If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!" (Matt. 7: 11).
