Topic: LESSONS FROM THE PRODIGAL SON (Part 3)!

Memory Verse: ‭‭"So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God" - Romans 14:12 KJV

Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭ Luke 15:11-12 KJV

11. And he said, A certain man had two sons:
12. And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

INSPIRATION: A wise preacher once said, "It takes a lion's heart to get a lion's share." It takes a daring audacity to make demands of life the things that are not lawful to have at certain ages or stages of life. By a universal law of acquisition of one's inheritance, the testator has to die for a will to be administered as valid (Heb. 9: 16 - 17). When you know the world awaits your manifestation (Rom. 8: 19), you'd have no choice but to make very bold and audacious demands.

Life was never designed to give you a fighting chance; you've to demand for your place forcefully if you must break even. Life will never give or offer something of great value to someone who does not understand its value (Luke 15: 19). It takes audacity not to miss your appointment with destiny; it requires audacity to get your allotment from life. If you wait, you'll waste; if you snooze at opportunities, you'll lose. The race for life is not for the faint-hearted. Until you exact your rights, life will deal severe bows that you may never revover from.

The Prodigal Son understood the dynamics of an early start. He was racing for time. I would to God that believers gain the understanding that time is racing fast for you to make your mark! Procrastination is an ill wind that blows no good. Put your arts together and act now. The universe supports the audacious! Joshua asked the sun to stand still, it did (Josh. 10: 13); Peter asked to walk on water, he did (Matt. 14: 28-30); Elijah stopped rain from falling for three and half years, and still called down fire from heaven (1 Kings 17: 1; 2 Kings 1: 12). You've got to excuse to being audacious!

TODAY'S TAKE HOME:

Be inspired by the daring stories of others who, like the Prodigal Son, took the bold steps to try out life on their own terms. You've waited for far too long to act (Deut. 1: 6; 2: 3)!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, please deliver me from the gripping force of inertia that destroys initiatives. I receive grace to conceive bold ideas and the power to act on them swiftly. I refuse to be held back or laid back in my pursuit of worthwhile goals, in Jesus name.
