Some encounters are triggered by adversity, where one is pushed against the wall with the only option left being to turn to God. When Elijah hid in the cave, he had one of such encounters. Peter, while in prison and waiting to be executed, had an angelic encounter that set him free. Paul and Silas had a similar encounter. This kind of encounter changes the dynamics and trajectory of one's life forever. Oh! How I wish men could still encounter Jesus in a unique way today.
An encounter that's born out of a true and burning hunger for more of God can be transformational, to say the least. It leaves you broken and sober, exposes you to see the rich beauty of God's glory, and then sets you on a cause to pursue. Most often than not, it is from such rear encounters that great creative innovations, advance in science and technology or breakthroughs in other fields are forged. Encounters are God's medium of exposing us to His divine agenda so we can become his medium of reaching all of humanity.
Divine encounters would bring you to your knees and beam God's light into you and through you, and turn you into His vessel. It would help you reset your priorities to align with your purpose. An encounter could turn you into a messenger with a very strong incontrovertible messenge. Whether in industry or ministry, sports or entertainment, the effect remains the same. Therefore, if you want to be different and make a difference, seek to have encounters.
