Description

Fear cripples vision and stops us in our tracks to achieving a goal. It presents false evidences why such goals are unattainable, and disqualifies us even before we try. Fear comes as a whispered suggestion that begins to tear down the fabrics of our faith until it takes a total grip of our minds. It will magnify a non-existent challenge until it becomes a household problem, all aimed at stopping us from reaching our goals. But we'd do ourselves a lot of good when we pay no attention to it because God has not given us the spirit of fear.

David declares eloquently, "I will fear no evil" (Ps 23: 4). Why shouldn't we fear? Because the LORD is our light and our salvation. If the LORD is the strength of our lives, of whom shall we be afraid? The Lord makes the wicked, even our enemies and our foes to stumble and fall when they come against us. Therefore, whether in war, tribulations, famine or distress, God makes our hearts not to fear. Rather, he fortifies us with the assurance of his love, his presence and his protection always (Ps 27:1-3). Glory be to God forever. Hallelujah!
