Topic: PLANTED BY GOD, POSITIONED FOR EXPLOIT!
Memory Verse: "The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed" - Genesis 2:8 NKJV
Bible Text: 1 Samuel 30:11, 15 NKJV
11. Then they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David; ...
15. And David said to him, “Can you take me down to this troop?” So he said, “Swear to me by God that you will neither kill me ...and I will take you down to this troop.”
INSPIRATION: God plants people in our lives for strategic and specific reasons, just like He planted a garden eastward of Eden and strategically placed Adam in it. There're never coincidences with God, although our ignorance or limitations in understanding of His ways may make us think otherwise. Adam was to dress and keep the garden. In like manner, the people who come into our lives have a dual role of dressing and keeping us; they're assigned by God to play very key roles in making us whom and what He destined us to be.
God plants men in our lives for strategic interventions. Our ability to discern those sent to us and their assignments in our lives is pivotal to our success or failure. It is insensitive and disadvantageous to see all men as the same. When we despise the unique gifts and graces of men, we deny ourselves of their unique and strategic services. God put man in the Garden for a reason, same way He strategically puts people in our space to act as bridges to our next big breakthrough.
Hence, a wounded Egyptian became instrumental to David's total recovery. Had David not discerned the man correctly, he might have abandoned or killed him, and in so doing, the prophesy of total recovery would never have happened. What comes to our mind when we meet people? What can we learn from David's example of how to treat people, especially, people who may appear insignificantly able to offer us help?
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
Realise everyone is unique and so is their purpose in your life. Be senstive to discern your contacts so their value proposition can be better maximised. If you undermine the roles of strategic interventions, you'll toil and turn rounds in circles to achieve what could have come with so much ease.
PRAYER: O Lord, please open my eyes to discover the people you've strategically put in my life per time and give me the grace and wisdom to maximise the opportunities and relationships to Your glory, in Jesus name.
