Sometimes, life throws us punches that make us doubt whom we are and what we're capable of. When the cloud is darker than you could imagine and there isn't any ray of hope anywhere, you must begin to speak affirmatively to and about yourself. The Psalmist says, "I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord!" (Ps 139:14 TPT). What a beautiful summary of his life from his perspective!
So when next life hits you hard and Satan's whispers begin to fill your void, remind him that you're fearfully and wonderfully made! When he tells you're of no good, remind him you've received power to be called God's child (John 1: 12), and you're exactly as Christ is (1 John 4: 17). Get him furious with the damning reminder that you're the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 5: 21); that sin has no power over you (Rom. 8:1-2), and that you can do all things by the strength of Christ (Phi. 4:13).
