The call to repentance is a clarion, passionate call to come up higher, and back to your original position; a call to elevate your thinking pattern, behaviour and overall essence to enable you deliver value that's equal to the graces, gifts, knowledge, skills, and endowments you've been impacted with. It is a call to a higher consciousness that you've been negligent to or oblivious of, but one that defines who you truly are or should be.
To repent is to think differently, this verse says. The question to ask then is, "How have I been thinking?" Oh! Not too many of us are ready for critical question on self-appraisal. Examine yourself, we're advised in scriptures because a life not examined is not worth living!
To know how you've been thinking, look critically at the turnout of events in your life, for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Prov. 23: 7). Your thinking mirrors who you are, and portrays the kind of data or information you expose yourself to and consume. If you consume junk, you just might become a junkie or a junkyard!
