The world appears to be all conflicted, with enough troubles to go round for everyone. People are now so deeply overwhelmed by the happenings in and around them, that some have been reset to a default mode that expects crisis on a daily basis. But in the midst of these uncertain times, Paul prays fervently and eloquently, "May the Lord himself, the Lord of peace, pour into you his peace in every circumstance and in every possible way.
In confirmation, Jesus declares, "Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled" (John 14:27 AMPC).
Beloved, you can rest in the assurances of God's peace made available to us by all means. When trouble knocks, don't fear. When they predict doom, rest in the Truth that God has given you rest aroundabout. Although pockets of trouble may spring up occasionally, its roots have been destroyed by the overwhelming presence God and His promise of peace. Therefore, I speak peace to your heart and command every form of storm to cease, in Jesus name.
