*Topic:* SCARS? POINTERS TO MY STAR & VICTORY!
Memory Verse: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." - Isaiah 53:5 KJV
*Bible Text:* Isaiah 9:5 KJV
5. For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
INSPIRATION: It is interesting that as our values change, so are our beliefs and perceptions, so much so that people only believe for the best and not consider that their best is relative when compared to their worst. People only want to talk about their stars while they bury their scars away from public glare. Stars are never isolated occurrences, they're usually trophies from our scars.
We cannot celebrate and talk about the victories of a warrior without talking about their scars. Every true warrior has an identity with scars. Scars do not always remind us of our defeats, they showcase our crowns of triumph; scars do not come to deface you, they're reminders of your resilience, great victories and stars. Scars do not appear to compromise your identity; they point you to the victory Christ wrought in you.
In your moment of afflictions, all you may see are scars, but when you get through the trying furnace, those scars become stars on your crown. The deeper the scars, the more colourful the stars that beautify your crown. An Army General prides himself in the number of strategic wars he has fought and won; your trophies bear a correlational victory to your scars. Be proud of them!
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
Embrace your scars, whether visible or not; they're the stars that populate your crown. For every defeat you've known, you've witnessed countless victories. Normalise the act to celebrating both your little and big wins. You're a veteran deserving of a parade salute! Respect!!
PRAYER: O Lord, please open my eyes to see the bright stars that beautify the crown purchased by my scars; deliver me from the lies of the enemy about scars causing stigmatisation; give me the grace to live my life to its fullest in spite of my scars, in Jesus name
