Topic: SEE & NAME YOUR REALITY CORRECTLY (Part 2)!
Memory Verse: "Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it" - Jeremiah 1:11-12 KJV
Bible Text: Genesis 2:19 KJV
19. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
INSPIRATION: The moment we realise that death and life are in the power of the tongue (Prov. 18: 21), we cease to be careless with what we say because what we say becomes seed that germinate with repercussions. During creation in Genesis 1, whatever God said was what He saw. He didn't say, "Let there be light," and a house sprung up. Whatever He spoke came into existence. So here comes Adam following God's template, and it was recorded that "and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof" (Gen. 2: 19).
What are you seeing concerning the future ahead of you (Jere. 1: 12), and what are you willing to call forth? Men saw a dead and buried Lazarus, but Jesus saw a man with living potentials and called him forth (John 11: 43-44)! This is no mere cheering motivation; it is life-giving creative impetus to your destiny. Jesus says, "... the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63). When you come to terms that as Christ is, so are we in this world (1 John 4: 17), you'd realise that your words carry life in them as His did. Glory!
God is asking you a similar question that Ezekiel was asked, "Son of man, can these bones live (Ezek. 37: 3)?" Can you change your narrative? Can you alter your future? Can you determine a positively favourable outcome from the gloominess that fills the atmosphere around you? The questions are open-ended but the turning point came for Ezekiel when he prophesied as he was commanded (Ezek. 37: 4-7). These things were written for our example (1 Cor. 10:11) so you too can prophesy. Follow after the examples of Adam, Jeremiah, Jesus, and speak the future you desire into beings.
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
Names and vision matter to your destiny. Therefore, ensure you see clearly so you can appropriately name the things you want to see manifest in your life.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, I receive grace to be more intentional with what and how I see things and how I name them. I have eyes that see clearly and the power of a creative life in my tongue to recreate a future that aligns with Your will so I can see the performance as I name them, in Jesus name.
