Bible Text: 1 Samuel 17:26 NKJV
26. Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”
INSPIRATION: Never has the imperative to show up and dressed up for action been so strong as it is right this moment. Things are falling apart, values are eroding, those who should know appear ignorant and nonchalant, giving way to the uninformed to chart their causes, define standards, and set the agenda. When you abandon your responsibility, the vacuum must be filled! What a travesty when charlatans take over such reins!!
The world awaits you! They've high hopes and great expectations of you. Don't go cringing in the flanks when the battle for destinies rage on. Don't be like the army of Israel that had no balls or scruples when Goliath threatened them. Let the David in you roar and arise. Defy your biggest fears and surmount your largest mountains. Beat the odds, not necessarily for rewards but for self-preservation. Slay your giants!
TODAY'S TAKE HOME:
Don't be a deadbeat lazy person. Destiny's road to success is not for the fainthearted. Get in the ring and fix your gaze on the prize. Show up with some fight inside you!
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to show up like David and spring up surprises in the arena of life's battle. Help me to live ready at all times; ready to fight for what appears impossible to the weak but possible with the right mindset, in Jesus name.
