Sometimes, God shuts us in from the noises and distractions of the hustle and bustle of our everyday life so He can establish a new beginning with us. As lofty and engaging as the activities of our daily lives can be, they can distract us from a divine purpose. God had to shut Noah in to recalibrate his mindset to a new order that completely departs from the old order. All he knew and associated with had died with the flood! God was saying, "Behold, I do a new thing and it begins with you!" Old things have passed away.
How many times have we been stuck in an old order when God is trying endlessly to get us into a new one? Noah was stuck for one hundred and twenty years until God used the flood to to set him apart. Being in familiar territory doesn't always confer legitimacy to a cause. His plans towards you is to give you a hope and a future. Why don't you trust that He knows what's best for you and knows how best to get you out of the woods to your next good start? Noah started a new era for the world, you too can start something marvellously great when you let God shut you in!
God is seeking to do something great with you, but the first step is to let him shut you in to be prepared, equipped and instructed.
