Sometimes, life can hit us very hard punches, especially on a blind spot, and leave us completely flattened. At such instances, we tend to think that God has forsaken us; we feel the weight of real abandonment so hard that we often begin to question or doubt ourselves. Anyone who's been in such a dilemma can attest to the fact that it's not a palatable place for anyone to be at. It is for all such persons that I'm directed to remind that you're still divinely surrounded and protected by God!
The Lord’s presence surrounds his people, protecting them from the vissicitudes of life; His presence builds a refuge around us and ensures no weapon formed against us prospers; his presence surrounds us as an impregnable shield. No matter the degree of sophistication in the enemy's attacks, it can't get to you. It is against this backdrop that you understand the verses, "A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling" (Psalm 91:7, 10). Hallelujah!
When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High, our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm.
