Description

A divine instruction does not only give answers or directives, it tests our obedience and submissiveness to the Almighty and All-knowing God! Like we see in Jesus's feeding of five thousand people, he himself knew what to do (John 6:6), and wasn't going to base his actions on what Philip and others did or failed to do.

Although he has everything figured out, your obedience would be tested, often with mundane things. True obedience points to your degree of submissiveness to God. It's either you surrender all or nothing. Partial obedience is no obedience but a question mark on the integrity of God's word in our hearts.

True obedience to divine instructions isn't logical or philosophical. It doesn't question the rationale behind what may appear 'silly' in our eyes. It simply obeys! And by God's standards, obedience is better than, and still the highest form of sacrifice (1 Sam. 15: 22-23). If God were to measure your obedience in a scale, what would it read?
