2023 - “Jeff Berkley and The Banned” winners of multiple San Diego Music Awards!
Jeff Berkley has earned the San Diego Music Awards several times, and is referred to as a San Diego Legend, and by no mistake. If you have ever been blessed enough to be where his fingers are taking the vibration of the strings on his guitar into its belly and back out to your ears along with his unique vocals you will understand the soul of music just a little more than you had before.
He has 35 years of being not only a musician but his youthful experiences coupled with the now 35 years of training his ears has had him being relied upon as a producer and creator of this fine art. And he started from his own home in North Park of San Diego and wrote all his own songs from his own home, in his own bedroom, while being a Dad!
Jeff Berkley has 200+ album production contributions, which is over five pages worth of songs, prior to making his first solo album in 2017! His musical charisma leads you through heart and soul in a range of emotions as he has you laughing, then bleeding from the heart, and as you still have tears in your eyes will have you walking down some memory of times past and laughing again!
He has played with many other amazing artists such as Jason Mraz (one of my favorites), Gregory Page, Jewel (another huge favorite), Mike Keneally, Calman Hart, Lisa Sanders, Stevie and the Hi-Stax,Tim Flannery and Lunatic Fringe, Ben Harper, Joel Rafael, Gregory Page, Indigo Girls, David Crosby, and so many more!
Earning the title of San Diego legend through hard work and dedication and a charismatic moxy he brings a light everywhere he goes with his presence.
