Future Perfect is a collection of poetry by Charles Martin, published by Johns Hopkins University Press as part of their poetry and fiction series. The volume includes a variety of poems, some previously published in literary journals, and features sections with titles like "Discontents," "When We Had It All," and "A Child of the Future Perfect." The book also incorporates adaptations and homages to other literary works, as seen in poems referencing Ovid, Euripides, and Weldon Kees. The collection is dedicated to Wyatt and Barbara Prunty and benefited from the support of the John T. Irwin Poetry and Fiction Endowed Fund.
