The Night Agent, the most recent series, debuted a few weeks ago and has quickly become another huge hit for the streaming service. The series is based on Matthew Quirk's book of the same name. It consists of ten quick episodes that are easily absorbed in a few days.
The story revolves around Gabriel Basso's character, Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent who ends up on a DC Metro train that is tragically bombed. One year after this event, Sutherland was demoted and assigned to the White House basement's Night Action desk, where he works the midnight shift, evaluating reports and answering calls on a dedicated line.
