Description

Consumer rights in the EU and Antigua are featured on this week's show.

Adam Mortimer from the UK European Consumer Centre (UKECC) is first up. Adam talks about the organisation annual report. Nearly 17,000 consumers contacted UKECC in 2016, which is an increase of 18% on the previous year.

Adam talks about timeshares/holiday clubs, flight delays and car hire. Also covered is the purchase of goods, both in store and online.

Listen to Adam to find out what to look out for and how to get help if something goes wrong with your EU holiday or shopping.

There is more advice on the ECC-Net: Travel app. Useful at home as well as away.

My second guest is Colin James, CEO Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority. I recorded the interview in Antigua back in 2012. It is one of my favourite destinations and I can't wait to get back there.

Find out why it is such a great place to visit for a holiday.

Once you are there you need somewhere to stay. The final interview is with Gerald Christ, who at the time was the manager at Sandals Grande Antigua.

I had a look around and I was surprised about all that was on offer.
