Congressman Mark Amodei will be in town on Monday. According to the information released, which Amodei’s office didn't bother to share directly with us, he’ll be holding a Town Hall event at the Bristlecone Convention Center from 8 am until 10 am, dealing with the White Pine Pumped Storage Project. And while it’s good to see the Congressmen holding a Town Hall, he’s avoiding talking with us again… I hope you will take the opportunity to ask the Congressman why he favors NPR and CPB over our local stations, KELY and KDSS. About two dozen stations in very isolated communities rely heavily on Government funding, and they should be funded by FEMA, but KNPR, with no real voices in rural Nevada, doesn’t need Government funding. Ask Congressman Amodei why he supports Vegas voices over local voices. Voters deserve to know.
