More proof that we need more people in the trades. The White Pine Television District let us know at the Christmas Dinner that their microwave relay bringing in the Salt Lake TV stations has failed and has to be shipped back to the factory on the east coast. All the TV district technicians are well over retirement age with no one locally or even regionally that can work on those components under the age of 60! Unless and until our parents, schools and colleges start giving trade schools the same importance as colleges and universities, more of these kind of failures will continue to occur. Plumbers, electricians, carpenters, not just electronics. No more left handed basket weavers. Otherwise all you’ll get is big student loan debt that you can’t pay off. And you’ll be calling Dave Ramsey for help.
