Hidden in Question 3 on the November ballot is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.  It appears to just open primary ballots to all.  But hidden in the text is Ranked Choice Voting.  It’s confusing, it puts independent candidates at a massive disadvantage and favors established candidates, and if you think election results are delayed now, you ain’t seen nothing yet.  Ranked choice voting has been on the ballot in Alaska for years...they’re trying to throw it out!  Eric Hafner, a federal inmate serving a 20-year sentence in New York for threatening officials in New Jersey, has been allowed to remain on the ballot for Alaska’s lone U.S. House seat. Despite being incarcerated, Hafner qualified for the ballot through Alaska’s open primary system, which allows the top four vote-getters to advance to the general election, regardless of party affiliation.  That could happen here in an open primary system.  Vote NO on Question 3.
