PART 2: JESUS’S FORGIVENESS IN HIS DARKEST MOMENT
Betrayed. Denied. Rejected. Forsaken. Yet, He Forgave.PART 3: THE COMMAND TO FORGIVE
Forgiveness = ObedienceReleasing the Offender = Freeing Yourself"Forgiveness is for our benefit – it frees us.
As Hebrews 12:15 reminds us,  'See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.' Holding onto bitterness only harms us, but when we choose to forgive, we release the burden and walk in God's grace."PART 4: GOD'S RADICAL FORGIVENESS
Biblical Stories of God Forgiving at Our Lowest
  1. Peter’s Denial → Jesus’ Restoration (John 21:15-19)
    • Peter abandoned Jesus, yet Jesus met him with love, not condemnation.
    • “Feed my sheep.” Jesus didn’t shame him—He gave him purpose.
  2. The Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32)
    • A son wastes his father’s wealth in sin but is welcomed home with open arms.
    • God isn’t waiting to punish us—He’s waiting to embrace us.
  3. David’s Sin (2 Samuel 11-12, Psalm 51)
    • Adultery, murder, deception… yet when David repented, God forgave him.
    • “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” (Psalm 51:10)
