Description

Growing up in Nigeria, one of my fondest memories revolved around enjoying traditional Nigerian dishes with my family. One of my all-time favorite dishes is Ogi, also known as pap or akamu in some parts of Nigeria. Ogi is a popular breakfast staple that is loved by many across the country. Made from fermented maize, sorghum, or millet, Ogi is a smooth and creamy pudding-like porridge that is usually served with accompaniments such as akara (bean fritters), moi moi (steamed bean pudding), fried plantains, or moin moin.
