Amazon needs money to buy more chips to buy more CPU's to expand their AWS to provide more services like AI. So, while it's a windy road, AI is taking about 30,000 jobs away from people over at Amazon. It's mostly corporate jobs, so if you're like Peter Gibbons in the movie Office Space, you may soon have less than 8 bosses. For calling people back into the office for "team morale building" instead of just being honest and telling people they were hoping more people would just say no to the idea of a commute and take severance so now their stuck with firing a lot more people than originally planned, Amazon should feel shame, shame, shame.
