We experienced a bit of a plot twist when today's guest came down with the flu so we pivoted to a new feature - selected readings of first chapters from books by authors who have previously appeared on the show!

I also threw in a quick review of the Laguna Beach Writers' Calendar where I highlight upcoming literary events occuring in the coming month. One notable event I failed to mention is Love Out Loud, an open mic reading event put on by Third Street Writers hosted at Laguna Beach Books on February 13, 2025 starting at 6:00PM. These reading events are always an extremely fun and engaging night out as well as a great opportunity to meet and network with local authors. Hope to see you there!
