The sarx has a mentality that is antithetical to the will of God. The mind of the flesh cannot please God. On the other hand, the one who desires to grow up as a believing one knows that he or she must bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Obedience can never be selective or half-hearted. True obedience is complete submission to the will of God.
